Call for submissions for Volume 10!!
The Lamp is looking for submissions for its 2020 issue. The Lamp is an international literary journal dedicated to showcasing the creative writing of graduate and professional students. If you write poetry, short fiction, scripts, creative nonfiction, or any other form of textual art, please submit your work to The Lamp at thelampeditor@gmail.com. The deadline is Friday, January 3rd, 2020! Please see here for submission guidelines.

We are elated to announce that The Lamp Volume 9 is now officially available for purchase! The Volume was launched officially this evening at a Queen’s University function. We are so proud of all of our editors and contributors. You can buy your own copy of Volume 9 here!

We received many submissions for our Vol. 9 issue, and we could not be more excited! The editorial board will be adjudicating pieces during the month of January, and authors will hear back in early February!

Hey all! The Lamp’s 8th volume was illustrated by the hyper-talented Eve Greenwood (artist of the webcomic INHIBIT)! Every year our covers feature a light source, but we leave the details up to our artists. As you can see, Eve absolutely knocked the prompt out of the park!
We’re in the edits phase now, so look for Vol. 8 for June/July!
